Attorneys General Yost and Miller sent a letter to FDA Commissioner Robert Califf to clarify the use of the term “prescription hearing aids” in the Final Rule for over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids. There is an overwhelming consensus that without clarification Americans suffering from severe hearing loss will face increased barriers to hearing aid access and care.
